The flags are a product of an unrelenting search for another medium, a current reincarnation of old forms of expression. My points of origin are my foundations and resources as a figurative artist.

My works are based on quick oil paintings of a live male model. In this limited time-frame I try to capture the model’s essence, and to project maximal information using minimal means.

This is used to reach the next stage, to be developed into another medium with its own set of limits. Absolute color areas, reduction of color palate, closed shapes and simplification of form.

The male nude, which is still considered a taboo to a certain extent, is granted an explicit sexual representation, without lapsing into pornography.
My patching technique, which belongs to the school of “craft” and is usually identified with a more feminine type of art form, is encountered with a surprising theme.
